Institutional Capacity Development Strategy
Overview
Solid resources base (i.e. assets, finance and professional board and staff) are key components for a sustainable organisation. BOSCO-Uganda will invest in attracting, training and retaining professional board and staff to serve the organisation; Mobilise financial resources to finance programme, administration, and physically develop to sustain the organisation now and for the future; and it will also strengthen the institutional democracy, structures, and policies (revision and development) for effective and efficient management and growth of the organisation.
Startegic Objectives
Strengthen Performance management framework
Develop and implement a staff capacity development plan
Provide internship and volunteer opportunities to deserving persons
Facilitate Board of Directors and Board Committee quarterly meetings
Review existing and develop appropriate policies
Conduct periodic asset verification, valuation and disposal
Provide medical Insurance for staffs
Procure movable assets (Bikes and vehicles etc.)
Convene Annual General Meeting
Conduct project, statutory and Institutional audits
Pursue Quality Assurance Mechanism certification
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements to URSB, NGO Bureau, PDPO & FIA
Identify and initiate strategic local and international partnerships and collaborations to strengthen programme implementation
Register Northern Uganda Energy as a for-profit arm of BOSCO Uganda Limited
Review and mitigate risks by updating annual risks register and measures
