Institutional Capacity Development Strategy

Overview

Solid resources base (i.e. assets, finance and professional board and staff) are key components for a sustainable organisation. BOSCO-Uganda will invest in attracting, training and retaining professional board and staff to serve the organisation; Mobilise financial resources to finance programme, administration, and physically develop to sustain the organisation now and for the future; and it will also strengthen the institutional democracy, structures, and policies (revision and development) for effective and efficient management and growth of the organisation.

Startegic Objectives

  • Strengthen Performance management framework

  • Develop and implement a staff capacity development plan

  • Provide internship and volunteer opportunities to deserving persons

  • Facilitate Board of Directors and Board Committee quarterly meetings

  • Review existing and develop appropriate policies

  • Conduct periodic asset verification, valuation and disposal

  • Provide medical Insurance for staffs

  • Procure movable assets (Bikes and vehicles etc.)

  • Convene Annual General Meeting

  • Conduct project, statutory and Institutional audits

  • Pursue Quality Assurance Mechanism certification

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements to URSB, NGO Bureau, PDPO & FIA

  • Identify and initiate strategic local and international partnerships and collaborations to strengthen programme implementation

  • Register Northern Uganda Energy as a for-profit arm of BOSCO Uganda Limited

  • Review and mitigate risks by updating annual risks register and measures
