Working at Height Safety Training: Theory Sessions Underway for Community Technicians

Northern Uganda (BOSCO Uganda) – BOSCO Uganda is running Working at Height safety training today for community technicians. Experts from Ambiosh HSE Consults Ltd lead the theory sessions now underway.

The training teaches safe practices for work on towers, rooftops, scaffolds, and high places in ICT maintenance. Current sessions cover what working at height means, the jobs it includes, risks and hazards, employer and worker duties, needed personal protective equipment (PPE), safety rules and standards, and golden rules for the job.

Training includes rescue steps for falls, equipment checks before use, correct positioning and attaching of gear, and simple maintenance. These topics follow the style of past Ambiosh training at Bardege ICT Centre, where theory led to safe practice.

Northern Uganda’s rough terrain and weather raise dangers for network work at height. This training builds skills so technicians work safely and surely. Full certification comes after all sessions end.

BOSCO Uganda thanks Ambiosh for their good teaching. Practical work starts tomorrow.
